Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian, Croatian: Bosna i Hercegovina, Serbian: Босна и Херцеговина) is a country on the Balkan peninsula of Southern Europe with an area of 51,129 square kilometres (19,741 sq mi). The most important international sporting event in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the 1984 Winter Olympics, held in Sarajevo. It previously competed as a part of Yugoslavia.
It sent a team to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The team consisted of 5 competitors.[2]
